Matthew Wade, CPA, Audit Services Manager is originally from Cynthiana, Kentucky, but he currently resides in Lexington, Kentucky. He graduated from University of Kentucky in 1997 and has his CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification. He has 10 years of public accounting experience. In addition to his public accounting experience, Matthew spent 12 years working with a bank consulting firm, conducting a wide variety of audits and advisory services including internal control audits, ACH compliance audits, BSA/AML compliance audits and loan reviews.

Regarding his new position at EPCOR, Matthew shared, “I’m the most excited about continuing to perform high-quality ACH audits with the highly reputable electronic payments professionals at EPCOR! I also look forward to obtaining my AAP, APRP and NCP certifications and helping EPCOR continue to grow and educate more financial institutions on the fast-changing electronic payments industry.”

Outside of work, Matthew is a dad to two boys, Jeremiah and Isaiah, ages 13 and 11. He spends a lot of his time as a lifeguard and swimming instructor at the local YMCA, where he utilizes his certifications in CPR and first aid. Matthew is also an Eagle Scout and a Boy Scout leader. Becoming an Eagle Scout is what Matthew considers his life's biggest accomplishment, in addition to passing the CPA certification exam.

Additionally, Matthew enjoys camping, hiking, visiting historical places, working jigsaw puzzles and engaging in his ultimate favorite hobby, genealogy.

To close out our interview, we asked Matthew why he wanted to join our family. He explained, “I wanted to work for EPCOR because I saw it as the best opportunity to grow in my knowledge and expertise in electronic payments and take my career to new heights!”
